This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Accfin Jobs ("we", "us") collects through www.accfinjobs.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle your data in line with the principles of India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 — consent, purpose limitation, and data minimization — described here in plain language.
1. What we collect
When you register or use Accfin Jobs we collect: your phone number (used for OTP sign-in) and name; profile details such as headline, city, experience, skills, and links you choose to add (LinkedIn, portfolio, YouTube); your resume file; your job applications and saved jobs; and, for employers, your company name, website, and job listings. We also record basic usage/analytics signals — a lightweight, session-based count of how many times a listing is viewed (impressions) and clicked into (clicks), used only to help employers gauge listing performance and to power internal salary suggestions. This is not bot-filtered, analytics-grade tracking, and we do not use third-party ad-tech trackers or cookies to build advertising profiles.
2. How we use it
We use your data to match candidates to relevant job openings, show candidate profiles and applications to the registered employers you apply to or who unlock your details, operate account sign-in and notifications, and improve the service (for example, using aggregate application and salary data to build features like our salary-insight suggestions for employers). We do not use your data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties beyond what is strictly needed to operate the service — for example, a candidate's profile and resume become visible to a specific employer only once that candidate applies to their listing or the employer spends an unlock credit on that candidate. We do not share data with data brokers, ad networks, or unrelated marketing partners.
4. Retention & your rights
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data and account at any time by writing to us. On a verified deletion request we will remove your profile, resume, and associated personal data from active use, subject to any records we are legally required to retain. You also have the right to withdraw consent for optional data (such as a YouTube introduction or portfolio link) at any time by removing it from your profile.
5. Cookies & analytics
We use essential session cookies to keep you signed in and to power the lightweight, session-based impression/click counters described in Section 1. We do not currently use third-party analytics or ad-tech cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy.
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted password/OTP handling and restricted access to candidate and employer records. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to minimize the data we collect and limit who can see it.
7. Grievance redressal
If you have a concern about how your data is handled, contact us using the details below and we will acknowledge and address it promptly, in keeping with the grievance-redressal principles of the DPDP Act, 2023.
